To convert file name.chi
into name.tex strike

	m name

To use standard AMSTeX font tables
strike

	m /c name

To use standard AMS-LaTeX package
strike

        m /l name

The multiple source file compile
is possible. For help strike m.

The tables are builded for AMS-TeX
and AmS-LaTeX.

The help in table.chi is
slightly out-of-date.

The help in mx.txt is Russian
but adequate.

We suppose that the commands
amstex, amslatex and preview
are already on the PATH in you
system.

There is a possibility to convert
russian texts into alternative table.
For this in file *.cnv You should
change russian fonts to the tables
number 28 (and use AS if you use
more than one russian font).

The cyrillic translation is
difficult: for use the simple one
you should change in the file
plain.tex (almost last rows) the
reference to file hyphen.tex
to the reference to file russhypn.tex
After that You should include the
directory BADFONTS into Path-texfonts
environment variable BEFORE the right
fonts, and change russian fonts to
the tables number 29.

Else make your files with /c option.

	About BADFONTS:

DO NOT MIX THESE FILES AND RIGHT
   ONES! THEY ARE SPOILED!
     (but work good)

If you want to use the standard
cyrillic access you should
change russian fonts to the tables
number ??.

We suppose that you have installed
the utilites into the directory
CHI2TEX\util and have made a directory
CHI2TEX\tmp. Here CHI2TEX is an
arbitrary directory (the MS-DOS is un-
documented, so maybe it will work only
with not very long names), and have
made a corresponding change in the
file m.bat - in the row:
	SET CHI2TEX=........

Last assumption - you have installed
the file m.bat into your PATH.
